Labor Providers and Recruiters play a critical role in the recruitment and hiring process for many Grower Operations; maintaining transparent relationships with Labor Providers and Recruiters is a vital task for Growers meeting the requirements and intention of the Equitable Food Initiative.

The purpose of this Scorecard is to support Grower Operations in their efforts to reduce the risk of forced labor and human trafficking throughout the recruitment and hiring process, or contracted management, of any person performing work within their operations.

All Grower Operations that utilize Contract Workers, hired through Labor Providers and Recruiters, are encouraged to refer to this tool each time a new Labor Provider or Recruiter is being considered and on-boarded; and to periodically check on the progress and efforts of the Labor Organization as they work to reduce risks associated with forced labor and human trafficking within their operations.
